The CIJC Working Rule Agreement two-year pay deal ends on 28 June 2018.
The NFB wants to know what its members think so we have a clear position at the negotiating table with the unions and other employer representatives. The negotiations will be taking place from the end of January.
This is your opportunity to let the NFB know what you think would be a fair industry pay award for the period 2018-2020.
Economic uncertainty is forecast until after the UK is scheduled to leave the European Union. The process has already increased the cost of materials and labour, particularly with a weaker pound. Business costs will further increase from April 2018 when the next stage of pensions auto-enrolment begins. This will increase employer contributions to employee pensions. On a more positive note, the Home Office has announced that it has agreed details by which EU migrant workers and their families may remain in the UK. The EU has reciprocated by guaranteeing the same rights for Britons living in EU countries.
