Good construction relies on good people and good information. We combine these two essential components in our exclusive events. These events bring people together to hear about new business opportunities, frameworks, changing legislation, new industry guidance and more - in fact, anything to support you and your business. Most of these important events are free to members or significantly discounted if a charge is necessary.
Below is a list of the types of events the NFB hosts:
Focusing on the local construction landscape, these events address local concerns as well as national topics. Held at seven locations around the country, they are hosted three times a year with topics ranging from business development to new legislation; they also afford an opportunity to listen to and question key partners such as CITB. Free to both members and non-members (nb members receive additional information and supporting documents), these invaluable events not only provide important information but they allow you to network with, and learn from, like-minded local construction professionals.
The prestigious NFB Awards continue to grow in both size and reputation and are a real celebration of the outstanding teams and individuals in our industry. They are morale-boosting for the nominated employees and teams and reputation-enhancing for the companies who win.
Held in November, this event is for members by invitation only and is held in the Palace of Westminster. Speakers from both Government and influential industry bodies respond to the key NFB policy issues being driven by NFB members.
A structured conference and exhibition dedicated to the issues of the day. Want to hear from visionary leaders, interested in a critical topic, want to network with industry colleagues? This annual construction event is a key date in the diary and not to be missed. Open to non-members and members (at a substantially discounted rate), booking early is a must for this prestigious event.
As a member, it is critical that we have your input into the running of the NFB. As part of our constitution, the NFB has seven Regional Executive Boards whose meetings are open to members only. Much like an MP's constituency surgery, these meetings allow members to raise issues, ask questions, make representations and press for change. Matters arising are fed into the National Executive Board, on which each Regional Chair has a seat. The NFB really is a federation of members, acting for members.
The NFB Major Contractors Group regularly holds meetings dedicated to construction companies with at least a £40 million turnover. These meeting are by invitation to members only and allow private dialogue on industry issues at the larger end of the sector. Click here to learn more about he NFBMCG.
