The construction industry faces well publicised skills shortages. Apprenticeships can provide a platform to support people of all ages, backgrounds and levels into a range of careers that are available within construction. They can also help stimulate growth and can provide value for employers and individuals alike.

National Apprenticeship Service

The National Apprenticeship Service offers free, impartial, expert advice and support to organisations and individuals who are interested in apprenticeships.

As part of a drive to widen participation in apprenticeships, the National Apprenticeship Service linked with intermediary partners to help share the latest information and guidance relating to apprenticeship recruitment and training. The NFB is proud to be intermediary partner to help ensure our members are able to easily access information they need.

If you are an employer and are considering recruiting an apprentice visit the employer hub where you will find a helpful guide including information how much it will cost, finding the right apprenticeships, hiring the right apprentice, how to prepare and monitor and details on recruiting the right training provider:

How much is it going to cost?

Not eligible to pay the apprenticeship levy? Don’t worry; you are still able to access support and funding to support apprenticeships on a variety of job roles.
