REGIONS BUILDERS BOOSTED BY NEW APPOINTMENTS

The South West region of the National Federation of Builders (NFB) has strengthened its support for local construction companies with two senior appointments.

Nicolette Hunt-Davison and Matheau Woodyatt have joined the Federation as regional services managers. Both will be responsible for providing advice and specialist business services to over hundreds of contractors and builders across the region.

The new appointments follow the announcement that the NFB has opened two new regional business centres in the north and south of the region. The move is designed to give members greater access to their support staff and make attending seminars and training courses easier.

Matheau a former business adviser at Business Link will be based in NFBs new office in Bristol serving members in Bath, Wiltshire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. Nicolette, who moves from the industrial division of Avery Weigh-Tronix, will work alongside construction firms based in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

Andrew Percy, regional director for NFB in the South West, said: "Running a successful contracting business isnt getting any easier and its our job to provide fast, efficient and meaningful support with the day-to-day issues and policies, allowing our members to concentrate on growth and expansion.

"Were investing heavily in the right people to help our Federation move forward with confidence and deliver the results expected from our members. Matheau and Nicolette are quick learners and have clearly demonstrated throughout their careers an ability to understand the needs of businesses and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences."

Commenting on the opening of the new offices, Andrew commented: "Geographically, the South West is an extremely large region and this move brings the Federation far closer to members. Its a really positive move and one that we expect members to benefit from significantly."

Nationally, the NFB represents some 2,000 companies across England and Wales with an aggregate turnover of more than 10billion over 10 per cent of the industrys total gross turnover.
