Recognising innovations in housebuilding in a challenging economic climate, from maintaining volume developments to creating innovative ways to attract sales.

This could also include those that have diversified into lettings or part sales if they show the benefit to the company and community. It also includes successful low carbon housebuilding and the use of energy efficient materials.

An expert panel of judges came together in April to shortlist entries.  The following entries have been shortlisted in the House Builder of the Year 2011 category:
