Corporate Governance

The National Federation of Builders Ltd is made up of a National Executive Board, six Regional Executive Boards and an Executive Board for Wales.

The six Chairs of the Regional Executive Boards, alongside the Welsh Chair, sit on the National Board.  The Boards meet three times a year to review, discuss and approve the Federation's strategic activities and operations.  The Federation is guided by a Chair who is elected every June at the Federation's AGM.

The Federation's activities are managed and delivered by a management team of Directors, led by the Chief Executive.  The membership is spread throughout England and Wales and regional branches of the Federation lead the activities and initiatives of the Federation at a local level.

The NFB's Commitment to Bribery Prevention

The NFB's National Executive Board and Senior Management Team are totally committed to the prevention of bribery and are fully supportuive of the provisions contained within the Bribery Act 2012.  Bribery undermines democracy and the rule of law and poses very serious threats to sustained economic progress in developing and emerging economies and to the proper operation of free markets generally.  The Federation therefore has a zero tolerance towards bribery and encourages a culture of anti-bribery throughout the organisation.  Proportionate controls and procedures will be evaluted as necessary to ensure adequacy.

The Federation expects all of its member companies to have a similar commitment.
